What you need to be considered
Requirements differ between the degree and diploma routes, and are confirmed at interview.
Before buying an Application PIN, check with the admissions office that your results qualify for the programme you want. The PIN is not refundable once used.
How you are taught
Classroom, laboratory, ward
Classroom teaching
Taught modules follow the Council syllabus, assessed by coursework and examination each semester.
Skills and simulation laboratory
You rehearse patient assessment, safe procedure and emergency response before you meet a real patient.
Supervised clinical placement
Placement is arranged with partner facilities and supervised by a clinical coordinator, so practice hours are structured and assessed.
After you qualify
Where graduates go
Graduates register with the Nursing & Midwifery Council and practise in community clinics, district hospitals and the wider health service. Some continue to further study through the college’s affiliation with EBKUST.
